Le groupe norvégien Darkthrone a été nominé aux Alarm Awards norvégien.
Cependant, le groupe a communiqué son mécontentement d'avoir été nominé dans le journal 'Aftenposten' : 'And we have no interest in being part of the glitter and showbiz side of the music industry.' (Fenriz).
Du coup, l'organisation des Alarm Awards a retiré Darkthrone des nominés, clôturant ainsi l'incident.

C'est sûr que c'est pas Dimmu Borgir qui va refuser de participer à ce genre de cérémonie. Ils sont nominés pour chaque album quasiment.
Puis vu les autres nominés, on se demande comment ils ont pu nominés Darkthrone.
